Why?

This question is common that is the core of 360Bikers Foundation, Inc. Anyone that rides a motorcycle recognizes the multitude of events that riders participate in that have a charitable bearing. You will see motorcyclists and groups involved in everything from local families with needs to international charities with celebrity endorsements. It seems bikers are always there when there is a need. Yet, there was no organized national entity dedicated to helping bikers in their time of need. We created 360Bikers Foundation specifically for those riders that have been involved in accidents through no fault of their own and also have a demonstrated need for financial assistance.

Foundation Overview

360Bikers Foundation is created to be a publicly funded support system for motorcyclists that are involved in accidents in which they are not at fault. This is often a time of need for our fellow riders and their families. Through your participation in our annual rides, poker runs, donations and other fund raisers, we will generate funds to support the charity. Grants that will help pay for medical expenses, family expenses, and legal expenses will be direct benefits to bikers and their families.

360Bikers Foundation is designed to be there for you while creating a service entity that you can take advantage of when you need to use it. It is founded on the needs of our fellow riders and the fact that there is no more charitable group of people in the world than bikers. Bikers have always taken care of each other. Our organization is here to help.

Application Process

After completion of the foundation process an application will be made available for downloading. It will include directions and details of the submission process. A panel of evaluators from across the country will look at applications each month to determine awards. Applicants will be required to release accident reports, position statements, insurance records and other information to verify data in the application. Applications can be initiated by the rider, family or the rider, or friends and fellow motorcylists associated with the rider.

Growth Thresholds

Naturally, the number of motorcyclists we can help is proportionate to the donations from the community at large. 360Bikers will be present at major motorcycle events across the country and will encourage sponsorships from across the country. Caps on expenses will insure that as funding grows an increasing large portion goes to the beneficiaries rather than managing the foundation. It is our goal to be able to provide some relief to all that deserve it as the foundation increases in revenue.

Incomes

The 360Bikers Foundation will draw money from three primary sources. The first will be the proceeds from users of the auction web site. In the process of creating a premier site for bikers to buy and sell motorcycles and related materials we will create the primary funding source that will support our fallen brothers. The second income source will be our rides and the donation pledges that are fulfilled from them. Finally, we will have sponsors and advertisers that will benefit from our site. Their payments will go towards the funding for 360Bikers Foundation.

Expenses

Expenses for operating the site, programming considerations, legal expenses, promotional costs and related expenses will be the primary non-charitable costs in operating 360Bikers Foundation. With growth there may be a need to employees and related staff expenses. At no time will the expenses exceed 50% of the annual income of the foundation. It is our goal to have 80% to 90% of income dedicated to helping those bikers in need.

Our 2009 goal of $500,000 will provide between $250,000 and $450,000 to be paid towards the needs of fallen bikers and their families. With your help we will make this goal.
